Nothing fancy and I’m not even sure if I phrased it correctly. But it’s absolutely a reminder that I need for myself this week. I could have easily said no to creativation because I had no idea what I was I was doing. I was afraid of showcasing my product line. Scared of having a subpar booth. Scared of talking to so many people about who I am and what I do. Scared of so many what-ifs. But I didn’t let that stop me. I kept moving forward, taking one step at a time. And I’m so glad that I did. I’m proud of the booth I created and proud of the products I brought. I’m so proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone.
Hi #bujofriends! It’s been a long time since I’ve done an introduction. So I thought I’d share a little bit about myself and what’s been going on with me!
➖
- Born and raised in the Bay Area.
- Graduated college with a comp sci degree.
- Opened up my Etsy shop and used to sell original ink illustrations.
- I worked as a software developer and ran my Etsy shop while living nomadically around the country.
- I started running INKBYJENG full time at the end of 2017 when the startup I was working for unexpectedly shutdown.

I’ve always kept a sketchbook and could never stick with a pre-dated planner. When I discovered #bulletjournal in October of 2016, I became seriously addicted. It was like I finally found a way to stay productive with lists, but had an everyday creative outlet. I rebooted my shop by selling little stickers of my doodles from my journal. I quickly started creating products for myself and my sister that made journaling easier. My product line has now grown to include clear stamps, stencils, journals and washi tape.

Running a business is tough, but extremely gratifying. I’ve made friends all over the world who share the same passions as me. We literally could chat for hours about pens, paper and how best to organize our busy schedules. But I’ve also struggled with keeping a balanced life. I’m a firm believer the key to a happy life is learning to go with the ebb and flow of shifting priorities. The past couple of months I’ve been focusing on building up my business and I feel I’ve been greatly neglecting my self-care routine. I’ve barely gone to the gym, which has been my outlet for years. And I find it difficult to squeeze in that creative time that I love and need.
➖
So this year I’ve decided to take on a business partner! I’m still designing the product line and managing social media. But bringing in another person will dramatically free up more time for me to grow myself and my business.
➖
Here’s my weekly spread! It’s not filled out yet, but it will be! I have a lot going on this week so I’ll definitely need my journal with me. If you want to see a little plan with me video, check out @weebly stories tomorrow at noon PST.
Happy 2019 #bujofriends

I’m super excited about @thebulletjournalmethodbookclub hosted by @tinyrayofsunshine and @decadethirty! I’ve been following these two since the start of my journey and they have been incredibly supportive and have always shared their wealth of knowledge. I’m excited to jump in with the discussions and read along with the community.

Starting on Monday I’ll be showing the beginning of 2019 in my new journal! I squeezed the last of December into my previous journal so I could start the year off fresh. Also, be sure to follow @weebly because on Tuesday I’ll be adding some journal with me videos! Thanks @therealbluprint for making this happen. ☺️☺️☺️ #bulletjournal #bujo
I’m excited to announce that my shop is open and restocked! There are a few new stamp kits releasing today along with a new stencil.

These past two weeks have been incredibly crazy for INKBYJENG. Earlier this year I decided to try out a third party fulfillment center. Packages were shipping out faster and it allowed me some time to figure out how I wanted to grow my business. However, error rates were up and there were more missed packages and overpriced shipping. I made the tough decision to close shop temporarily and bring back fulfillment in house. So I flew to Chicago and drove all my product back to Colorado. All the washi tape, stamp kits and stencils are back in my possession. This also means I’ll be able to restock quicker and sell products that are typically reserved for craft shows. Thank you again for an awesome 2018. I can’t wait for an even better and more productive 2019. Now I’m off to eat pancakes with my hubby. It’s his birthday after all!!!
Sneak peak of the new Fun Days stamp kit. 😍

Loving these little tabs I made with my label maker. I need to update my journal to include one for December. What do you prefer? Tabs, index, a combination of both or something completely different?
I’m feeling incredibly blessed on my 33rd birthday. Today I will do all the things that bring me joy and I will smile and laugh and brush off the little things.
And another sale is live! These three stamp sets are now available at a special weekend price. Don’t forget, the 20% sale is automatic on Etsy and available on shop.inkbyjeng.com using the code THANKSFOR2018.
➖
Shipping times are about 1-2 weeks and discounts cannot be applied to previous purchases.
I hope everyone had a safe and loving and wonderfully filled Thanksgiving. Over the next few days I’m choosing a few products to highlight and discount.
➖
Today I’m featuring my calendar washi! Both the full set and the perpetual rolls are on sale. And when you spend $10, you can enjoy 20% off with the code THANKSFOR2018. This coupon is automatically applied to Etsy. Make sure to check back on Saturday and Sunday for more specials.
➖
And for those who’ve been waiting for the Row&Col Stencil restock, it’s available now!
➖
Please note that shipping times are between 1-2 weeks. I’m thankful for everyone who makes a purchase in my shop and I’m even more thankful for your patience.
Be sure to check out my shop this weekend for some special deals!
Yay!! I made it. Last day of whole 30 and I’m feeling goood! This #inkbyjengweeklylog features a transition week where the top row is October and the bottom row is November. I’m loving the condensed version of this layout as it allowed me to still have a Tasks and Notes section. I’ve been really enjoying getting back into doodling for my #weeklyspread as it doubles as a way to get my creative juices going again. I used to doodle in my journal a lot and in this journal I was mainly focused on memory keeping. It’s fun to switch it up, but I’m going back to my older style for now.
Lines and floral doodles because today is Sunday and for the first time in weeks I allowed myself to stay in past noon. I’m an early riser and I usually take care of my relaxing time before the sun is even out. But today I woke up a little later and stayed in for breakfast and some journal time. I avoided thinking about the things that have been worrying me and consuming my thoughts. And I just took some time for myself. Now it’s just a little past noon and I’m ready to leave the house. :) This is amazing. I’m typically dressed and ready to leave the house by 7am on Sunday’s.

Any other early risers out there? ☺️☺️
